About the Course
Stories make us laugh, they make us cry but most importantly they help us make sense of the world around us. They help explain situations, dreams and understand lessons, and think about how powerful the stories you heard as a child are. Many will have stuck with you. And that’s the trick, creating a story that sticks. Design Your Story is a practical and highly effective programme that will give you the tools, confidence, and insight to create a powerful story that sticks. This programme is designed to be impactful. Working with Rachael Arnold and Sally Gray MBE, both highly effective storytellers, you will learn how to construct a story, deliver it, and develop your own style of storytelling. Storytelling done well is a superpower. This programme is perfect if you want to: • develop your public speaking skills • have more confidence in meetings • gain confidence as a leader • raise investment • raise awareness for your practice or business Taking place for six weeks on a Monday, this programme will include six online live sessions and a dedicated group on CEC Social to share resources and practise your new skills. The live online sessions will be as follows: • What’s In A Story? – 12th January, 11am – 12:30pm • How To Listen – 19th January, 11am – 12:30pm • Special Guest: Jay Lafferty, Award-Winning Comedian – 26th January, 11am – 12:30pm • Confidence Doesn’t Have To Be Loud – 2nd February, 11am – 12:30pm • Sticky Stories – 9th February, 11am – 12:30pm • Let’s Hear It – 16th February, 11am – 12:30pm There is a maximum of 20 people in each cohort in order to get a great experience. The process Rachael and Sally took us through gave me so much more than I expected, alongside learning the tools and tricks to connecting with people through the stories you tell, I learned a lot about myself and my own value.
